When driving stops or walking a grocery store becomes exhausting, the errands do not stop. Prescriptions still need picking up, the fridge still empties, and the bank and the post office are still across town. REACH Home Care provides errand and shopping assistance in the Tri-Cities and Moses Lake, either as a stand-alone service or as part of a broader home care plan.

We are a locally owned, Washington State-licensed in-home services agency (DOH license IHS.FS.61064639) with offices in Kennewick and Moses Lake, and every caregiver we send completes the state’s 75-hour Home Care Aide training at our own REACH Training Center. Our caregivers are the people running your errands and handling your groceries, not gig drivers.

Errands and shopping we handle

  • Grocery shopping: with a list you set, to your preferred store, with groceries put away in the kitchen, not left on the porch.
  • Shopping together: a ride, a steady arm, and someone to reach the top shelf and load the car, for people who want to keep choosing their own food and clothes.
  • Prescription pickup: pharmacy runs and coordination with medication reminders so nothing runs out.
  • Rides to appointments: doctor, dentist, physical therapy, lab work, and the hair salon, with help in and out and a caregiver who can stay for the visit if you want.
  • Post office, bank, and returns: mailing packages, dropping off paperwork, and the errands that add up.
  • Household supplies and pet needs: paper goods, cleaning supplies, pet food, and vet visits.
  • Seasonal and one-time errands: holiday shopping, gifts for grandchildren, and picking up items for a hospital discharge or a new diagnosis.

Why a home care agency instead of a delivery app

Delivery apps work well for some people. They do not work for someone who cannot manage the app, cannot carry bags from the door to the fridge, or needs the trip out of the house as much as the groceries. Our caregivers know the client, follow the same list and preferences every week, notice when something at home has changed, and can combine the errand run with a meal, a shower, or an hour of company. For families out of town, one weekly visit that covers shopping, meds, and a check-in is often the most reassuring service we offer.

How to get started

  1. Call us at (509) 491-1733. Tell us what needs doing each week and whether your loved one wants to come along.

  2. Free in-home assessment. A care coordinator visits the home, meets the person receiving care, and writes a plan you approve before anything begins.

  3. Caregiver match. We choose a trained caregiver whose skills, schedule, and personality fit, and introduce them in person.

  4. Ongoing adjustments. Hours and tasks change as needs change. There is no long-term contract.

Care can often begin within a day or two. We accept private pay and long-term care insurance, and we bill many insurers directly. See our long-term care insurance page for details.

Frequently asked questions

Can I hire you just for errands and shopping?

Yes. Many clients start with a weekly shopping and errand visit and add other services later, or never.

Who pays for the groceries?

You do, and we keep receipts. We will set up a payment method that works for your family during the assessment.

Can the caregiver stay for a doctor’s appointment?

Yes. Many families want a second set of ears in the exam room and a written note of what the doctor said.

Can this be combined with other care?

Yes. Errands are usually folded into a visit that also covers meals, light housekeeping, personal care, or companionship.

Do you serve Moses Lake and Grant County?

Yes. Our Moses Lake office at 1010 S Pioneer Way, Suite B serves Moses Lake, Ephrata, Quincy, Othello, and surrounding communities.
