A ride service drops someone at the curb. For a person who is unsteady, hard of hearing, or forgetful, the hard part starts there: the long hallway, the check-in form, the instructions the doctor gave that no one wrote down. REACH Home Care provides transportation with a caregiver in the Tri-Cities and Moses Lake, which means door-through-door help and someone in the room who can tell you what happened.
We are a locally owned, Washington State-licensed in-home services agency (DOH license IHS.FS.61064639) with offices in Kennewick and Moses Lake, and every caregiver we send completes the state’s 75-hour Home Care Aide training at our own REACH Training Center. Transportation is provided by trained caregivers, not drivers, so the same person can help with dressing beforehand and a meal afterward.
Where we take people
- Medical appointments: primary care, specialists, physical therapy, dialysis, infusion, lab work, imaging, dental, and eye appointments across the Tri-Cities, including Kadlec, Trios, and Lourdes campuses.
- Hospital discharge: picking up at discharge, filling prescriptions on the way, and settling in at home. See Hospital-to-Home Care.
- Errands: grocery store, pharmacy, bank, post office, and hair salon. See errands and shopping.
- Social and faith: church, senior center, lunch with friends, visits to a spouse in a facility, and family events.
- Out-of-town appointments: longer trips to Spokane, Yakima, Wenatchee, or Seattle for specialists, with the caregiver along for the day.
What the caregiver does at the appointment
Help getting ready and out the door on time. A steady arm from the car to the exam room. Help with check-in and paperwork. Sitting in on the appointment when the client wants a second set of ears, and writing down instructions, new prescriptions, and follow-up dates. Stopping at the pharmacy on the way home. A short written note to the family afterward. For many out-of-town adult children, this is the service that lets them stop taking a day off work for every appointment.

How to get started
-
Call us at (509) 491-1733. Tell us about the upcoming appointments and any mobility equipment involved.
-
Free in-home assessment. A care coordinator visits the home, meets the person receiving care, and writes a plan you approve before anything begins.
-
Caregiver match. We choose a trained caregiver whose skills, schedule, and personality fit, and introduce them in person.
-
Ongoing adjustments. Hours and tasks change as needs change. There is no long-term contract.
Care can often begin within a day or two. We accept private pay and long-term care insurance, and we bill many insurers directly. See our long-term care insurance page for details.
Frequently asked questions
Can you transport someone in a wheelchair?
Caregivers can assist a client who can transfer into a standard vehicle, with the wheelchair or walker loaded for the trip. If a wheelchair-accessible vehicle is required, tell us at the assessment and we will help you arrange it.
Is there a minimum for a transportation visit?
Visits are scheduled by the hour and include the time at the appointment. Ask us about the schedule you have in mind.
Can the caregiver come into the appointment?
Yes, when the client wants them to. Many families specifically want a caregiver in the room to take notes.
Can you do a same-day ride?
Often, for existing clients. For new clients we need the free assessment first, which can usually happen within a day or two.
Do you serve Moses Lake and Grant County?
Yes. Our Moses Lake office at 1010 S Pioneer Way, Suite B serves Moses Lake, Ephrata, Quincy, Othello, and surrounding communities, including trips to Samaritan Healthcare and Wenatchee specialists.
